In short

What is Acne Treatment?

Medical acne treatment combines laser therapy, chemical peels and medical-grade skincare to reduce the bacteria and oil production driving breakouts, while calming inflammation. Most patients need a course over several months, since acne is a chronic condition managed rather than cured in a single visit.

Acne has several drivers at once — oil, bacteria, blocked follicles and inflammation — so treatments that address only one rarely hold. It also leaves two separate legacies, discolouration and textural scarring, which need different treatments from the active spots.

The process

How Acne Treatment works

  1. 01

    Identifying the type

Comedonal, inflammatory, hormonal and cystic acne respond to different things. Hormonal patterns in adult women in particular are often better served by medical referral alongside in-clinic treatment.

  2. 02

Laser therapy for bacteria and oil

Targeted wavelengths reduce acne-causing bacteria and calm sebaceous activity without the downtime of aggressive resurfacing.

  3. 03

    Peels and extractions

Chemical exfoliation clears blocked follicles and helps discolouration fade faster.

  4. 04

A home routine that holds the result

In-clinic work fails without daily care. We build a simple medical-grade routine you will realistically follow.

Is Acne Treatment right for you?

  • You have active breakouts that over-the-counter products have not controlled
  • You have post-acne marks or early textural scarring
  • You are not currently on isotretinoin — some treatments must wait six months after finishing
  • You can commit to a course rather than expecting a single-visit fix

Benefits

  • Addresses bacteria, oil and inflammation together
  • Treats active acne and its aftermath with one coordinated plan
  • Suitable alongside prescription treatment from your physician
  • Reduces the risk of permanent scarring by controlling inflammation sooner

Common questions

Acne Treatment questions, answered

How long before my acne improves?

Expect meaningful change at four to twelve weeks. Skin often looks slightly worse in the first fortnight as congestion clears, which is normal.

Can you treat acne scars at the same time?

Active acne is settled first, then scarring is addressed with microneedling or resurfacing. Treating textural scarring while inflammation is uncontrolled gives poor results.

Is laser acne treatment safe for darker skin?

Yes, with appropriate wavelength and parameter selection. Darker skin types need conservative settings to avoid post-inflammatory pigmentation, which we plan for from the start.

Will the acne come back if I stop?

Acne is a chronic condition. Maintenance treatment and a consistent home routine are what keep it controlled once it is clear.
