Microneedling in Frisco, TX

Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin with fine needles, triggering a wound-healing response that produces new collagen.

In short

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin with fine needles, triggering a wound-healing response that produces new collagen. It is used for acne scarring, enlarged pores, texture and fine lines, and is commonly combined with PRP. A course of 3–4 sessions a month apart is standard.

It is one of the few treatments that improves textural acne scarring meaningfully without significant downtime, and it works on most skin types because it is a mechanical stimulus rather than light energy absorbed by pigment.

The process

How Microneedling works

  1. 01

    Numbing

Topical anaesthetic for around 30 minutes makes the treatment comfortable.

  2. 02

    Controlled micro-injury

Needle depth is set by area — shallower on the forehead, deeper over acne scarring on the cheeks.

  3. 03

    Optional PRP

Your own platelet-rich plasma applied into the channels adds growth factors to the healing response.

  4. 04

    Healing and repeat

Redness settles within a day or two; collagen builds over four to six weeks, which sets the spacing of the series.

Is Microneedling right for you?

  • You have acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged pores or fine lines
  • You want improvement with minimal downtime
  • You have no active acne infection, cold sore or open skin in the area
  • You are not on isotretinoin, or have finished it at least six months ago

Benefits

  • Among the most effective options for textural acne scarring
  • Safe across a broad range of skin types
  • Downtime measured in a day or two, not a week
  • Pairs with PRP for a stronger healing response

Common questions

Microneedling questions, answered

How many microneedling sessions do I need?

Three to four spaced a month apart for most concerns; deeper acne scarring may need six. Results build across the series rather than arriving after one.

Does microneedling hurt?

With topical numbing it is well tolerated — most patients describe vibration and pressure. Bony areas like the forehead are the most sensitive.

Is microneedling with PRP worth the extra?

It adds your own growth factors to the healing response and is particularly worthwhile for scarring. For general texture, microneedling alone already performs well.

When can I wear makeup again?

Usually after 24 hours. Skin is more permeable immediately after treatment, so we ask you to keep it clean and simple for the first day.
