In short

What is Hair Restoration?

Non-surgical hair restoration combines PRP injections, low-level laser therapy and medical management to slow hair loss and thicken existing hair. It works best on early to moderate thinning where follicles are still active — areas that have been fully bald for years need surgical transplantation instead.

The single most useful thing we can tell you is whether your follicles are still viable. That determines everything: an honest 'this will not work for you, here is what will' is worth more than a course of treatment that was never going to help.

The process

How Hair Restoration works

  1. 01

    Diagnosis before treatment

Pattern, duration and any medical contributors are assessed. Thyroid disease, iron deficiency and medication side effects all cause hair loss that no laser will fix.

  2. 02

    PRP to reactivate follicles

Three to four sessions a month apart signal follicles still in a resting phase to re-enter growth.

  3. 03

    Low-level laser therapy

Red light sessions support the scalp between PRP appointments and are used for ongoing maintenance.

  4. 04

    Medical management

Topical or oral therapy slows the underlying process. Most durable results come from combining approaches, not choosing one.

Is Hair Restoration right for you?

  • You have noticed thinning, a widening part or a receding hairline within the last few years
  • There is still fine hair in the area rather than smooth, shiny scalp
  • You can commit to a programme over several months
  • You want a non-surgical option before considering a transplant

Benefits

  • Addresses hair loss with several mechanisms at once
  • No surgery, no scarring, no meaningful downtime
  • Slows further loss as well as thickening what remains
  • Honest assessment of whether transplantation would serve you better

Hair restoration options compared

Most patients do best on a combination. Early-stage thinning responds far better than long-established bald areas, where follicles are no longer active.

Common questions

Hair Restoration questions, answered

Can hair restoration regrow hair I lost years ago?

Usually not. Once a follicle has been dormant for years it does not restart. These treatments are for preserving and thickening hair that is still there — which is why acting early matters so much.

How long before I see results?

Three to six months. Hair grows in cycles, and a follicle that re-enters its growth phase still has to grow the hair out.

Does it work for women?

Yes. Female pattern thinning often responds well, particularly when diffuse rather than patchy. Bloodwork is important first, as iron and thyroid issues are common contributors in women.

Do I have to keep doing it?

Yes — these treatments manage an ongoing process rather than curing it. Maintenance sessions every four to six months preserve what you have gained.
