PRP Therapy in Frisco, TX

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate its platelets, then re-injected into skin or scalp.

In short

What is PRP Therapy?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate its platelets, then re-injected into skin or scalp. The growth factors those platelets release stimulate collagen production and tissue repair, which is why PRP is used for skin quality, acne scarring and hair thinning.

Because PRP is made from your own blood, there is no foreign material and no allergy risk. It is a stimulation treatment rather than a filling one — results build over months as your own tissue responds, so a series is standard.

The process

How PRP Therapy works

  1. 01

    Blood draw

A standard tube or two of blood is taken, exactly as at any lab appointment.

  2. 02

    Centrifuge separation

The sample spins for several minutes, separating the platelet-rich plasma from red cells. Only your own concentrated plasma is used.

  3. 03

    Injection or microneedling delivery

PRP is injected into the target area, or applied with microneedling for skin so it reaches the dermis through thousands of micro-channels.

  4. 04

    A planned series

Three to four sessions a month apart, then maintenance. Single sessions rarely produce a lasting change.

Is PRP Therapy right for you?

  • You want a treatment using your own biology rather than a manufactured product
  • You are treating early hair thinning, skin texture or acne scarring
  • You can commit to a series over three to four months
  • You do not have a platelet disorder, active infection or blood-borne condition affecting eligibility

Benefits

  • Autologous — made from your own blood, with no foreign material
  • Works on stimulation, so improvements are your own new collagen and hair
  • Combines well with microneedling for skin, and with laser therapy for scalp
  • Minimal downtime beyond a day of redness

Common questions

PRP Therapy questions, answered

Does PRP actually work?

The evidence is strongest for early androgenetic hair thinning and for skin texture when combined with microneedling. It works less well where follicles are already dormant. We will tell you if your case is unlikely to respond.

How many PRP sessions will I need?

Three to four, spaced about a month apart, then maintenance every four to six months. Results are cumulative, so a partial course rarely delivers a lasting result.

Is PRP painful?

The draw feels like any blood test. Scalp injections are the most uncomfortable part and are done with topical numbing and a very fine needle.

How soon will I see results?

Six to twelve weeks. PRP prompts your own tissue to respond, and biology does not move faster than that.
