Rosacea Treatment in Frisco, TX

Laser treatment for rosacea targets the dilated blood vessels responsible for facial redness and flushing.

In short

What is Rosacea Treatment?

Laser treatment for rosacea targets the dilated blood vessels responsible for facial redness and flushing. Light is absorbed by haemoglobin, collapsing the vessel while leaving surrounding skin intact. Most patients need 2–4 sessions a month apart, with maintenance once or twice a year.

Rosacea is a chronic condition, so the goal is control rather than cure. Laser handles the visible vessels and background redness well; the papules and pustules of inflammatory rosacea usually also need medical treatment, which we will refer for where appropriate.

The process

How Rosacea Treatment works

  1. 01

    Distinguishing the subtype

Vascular redness responds to laser. Papulopustular rosacea often needs prescription therapy alongside it, and ocular rosacea needs an ophthalmologist.

  2. 02

    Vascular-targeted laser

Wavelengths absorbed by haemoglobin heat and close the vessel without damaging the skin around it.

  3. 03

    Trigger management

Heat, alcohol, spicy food, sun and stress all provoke flushing. Treating vessels without addressing triggers means they simply return sooner.

Is Rosacea Treatment right for you?

  • You have persistent facial redness, flushing or visible vessels
  • Your rosacea is stable rather than in an acute flare
  • You can avoid sun exposure around each treatment
  • You are not taking a photosensitising medication

Benefits

  • Directly targets visible vessels rather than covering them
  • Reduces background redness as well as individual vessels
  • Short sessions with limited downtime
  • Improvement is usually visible after the first session

Common questions

Rosacea Treatment questions, answered

Can rosacea be cured?

No — it is a chronic condition. Laser controls the visible signs very effectively, and maintenance once or twice a year keeps them controlled.

How many sessions will I need?

Usually two to four, a month apart, depending on how extensive the vessels are. Improvement is visible after each.

Does treating rosacea hurt?

Each pulse feels like a brief snap of heat. Sessions are short, and cooling is used throughout to keep it comfortable.

Will the redness come back?

Treated vessels are gone for good, but rosacea continues to produce new ones. Managing your triggers is what lengthens the gap between maintenance visits.
