Non-surgical body contouring uses laser, radiofrequency or ultrasound energy to reduce stubborn fat pockets and tighten loose skin in areas that resist diet and exercise. It is a shaping treatment for people already near their target weight — it is not a weight-loss method.
That last distinction is the one worth being clear about. Contouring changes shape in specific areas; it does not change the number on the scale meaningfully. Patients wanting weight loss are better served by a medical programme, and we will point you there instead.

How Body Contouring works
01
Assessing fat versus laxity
Fullness from fat and fullness from loose skin look similar and need different treatments. Getting this right at the start determines the result.
02
Energy-based treatment
Targeted energy disrupts fat cells or heats the dermis to tighten, depending on which problem we are treating.
03
Clearance over weeks
Disrupted fat is processed by the body gradually. Change appears from six weeks and continues for around three months.

Common questions
Body Contouring questions, answered
Is body contouring a weight-loss treatment?
+
No. It reshapes specific areas and typically does not change the scale meaningfully. If weight loss is the goal, a medical weight-loss programme is the honest answer.
How many sessions will I need?
+
Usually four to six per area. The number depends on the size of the area and how much you are hoping to change.
Will the fat come back?
+
Treated fat cells are cleared, but remaining cells still enlarge with weight gain. A stable weight is what protects the result.
When will I see a difference?
+
From about six weeks, with continued change to around three months. Measurements and photographs are more reliable than the mirror here.
