Assessing where support was lost
We identify which fat compartments have deflated and where the bone has remodelled, then plan the placement that restores the original architecture.

Deep placement on bone
A firm gel placed deep gives lift with very little visible bulk. Superficial placement is what creates the round, over-filled look.

Assessing the fold afterwards
Once the cheek is supported, we reassess the nasolabial fold. Often it needs far less product than it appeared to at the start — or none.

Commonly 1–2ml per side, depending on how much volume has been lost. Significant restoration is often staged across two visits several weeks apart.
Will cheek filler help my nasolabial folds?

Frequently, yes. Restoring cheek support lifts the tissue that has descended into the fold. Any remaining fold is then treated directly, with much less product.
Why do some cheek fillers look fake?

Too much product, or product placed too superficially, creates roundness rather than definition. Deep placement on the bone in modest volumes reads as structure, not filler.
How long does cheek filler last?

Typically 12–24 months. The midface moves less than the mouth area, so product placed there breaks down more slowly.
