Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A used to soften frown lines and other expression lines. It often becomes visible slightly faster than Botox — around 2–3 days — and its units are not interchangeable with Botox, running roughly 2.5–3 Dysport units per 1 Botox unit.
Dysport is frequently chosen for broader areas such as the forehead, where its spread characteristics can give a smooth, even result. The larger unit count on your chart is simply a different scale, not a larger dose.

Matching product to area
Dysport's diffusion suits broad, flat muscles. For small, precise targets a different toxin may be the better tool — we choose per area, not per patient.

Dosing on the Dysport scale
Expect a higher unit number than you would see for Botox. The clinical dose is equivalent; only the measuring scale differs.

Injection and aftercare
A few minutes of fine-needle injections, then the usual rules: upright for four hours, no strenuous exercise for a day.

No. The unit scales are different, so the numbers look bigger, but the clinical dose delivered is comparable — roughly 2.5–3 Dysport units correspond to 1 Botox unit.
How fast does Dysport work?

Many patients see softening at 2–3 days, with the full effect at about two weeks. If you are treating before an event, book at least two weeks ahead.
Can Dysport and Botox be used together?

They can be used in the same patient at different times or different areas, but there is rarely a reason to mix them in one area at one visit.
Which is better for forehead lines?

Dysport's even spread is often an advantage across a broad forehead. That said, technique and dosing matter more than which brand is in the syringe.
